„Axis Technologies“ to contribute to the reconstruction of boiler-house in Riga.

„Axis Technologies“ subsidiary owned by „Axis Industries“, the largest group of companies engaged in industrial and power industry projects in Lithuania will contribute to the reconstruction of boiler house operated by „Rigas Siltums“ company heating Riga, the capital of Latvia.
After being awarded the „Rigas Siltums“ contract, „Axis Technologies“ will deliver a 116 MW boiler with economiser operating in the Imants district boiler-house, Riga. The project is valued at 2.7 million litas.
”Economiser will ensure the effective heat production in Riga’s boiler-house and will increase the boiler efficiency by 8 percent at no additional fuel cost”, - said General director of „Axis Industries“ Remigijus Baltrušaitis.
„Axis Technologies“ will supply equipment for the reconstructed Riga’s boiler-house, and will carry out the work of design and supervision of installation. Reconstruction of the boiler is planned to be completed this year in November.
According to R. Baltrušaitis, adaptation of economiser is considered to be one of the most effective ways to increase the boiler capacity. Economiser produces energy by condensing outgoing steam from the boiler flue that is formed during the combustion of fuel.
In 2008, „Axis Technologies“ supplied condensing economisers to the boiler houses operating in Ignalina, Molėtai, Palanga heat facilities. This advanced technology is planned to install in Vilnius, Šiauliai and Alytus boiler facilities.
„Axis Technologies“ project that started in Riga is not the first project implemented by the company in neighbouring Latvia. Currently, the company is engaged in construction work of the cogeneration power plant in Jelgava. „Axis Technologies“ became the general contractor of this project valued at 24 million litas in spring of 2008, after being awarded the contract from „Fortum Jelgava“, the heat network operator in Jelgava.
