„Axis Power“ undertook a new project of „Lietuvos Energija“

„Axis Power“, the subsidiary of „Axis Industries“, was awarded the general contractorship by AB „Lietuvos Energija“ for the reconstruction of the transformer substation No 2 at the thermal power plant in Vilnius.
“The launch of reconstruction work will enable to increase the reliability of power supply to the customers of AB „Lietuvos Energija““, said Valdas Jankauskas, General Director of „Axis Power“.
Completion of the reconstruction of the transformer substation No 2 at the thermal power plant in Vilnius is scheduled by August 2010. „Axis Power“ will carry out the design, supply of cable lines, relay protection and process control equipment, installation and coordination works.
This year, following the order of „Lietuvos Energija“, „Axis Power“ implemented the project of installation of a transient process recording system (WAMP), and completed the update of the electrical transmission lines Kaunas-Jonava-Kėdainiai-Panevėžys and the reconstruction of communication lines.
Currently, „Axis Power“ carries out a second phase of reconstruction of 110 kV switchboard of the 110/10 kV transformer substation at Ignalina, the first stage was completed in July 2009. Last year the company also completed the construction works at Šventininkai 110/10 kV transformer substation.
