„Axis Industries“ to engage in renovation of time-worn multiple dwellings.

2008-09-22

„Axis Industries“, the largest group of companies engaged in industrial and power industry projects in Lithuania, intends to take an active part in the renovation processes of outdated multiple dwellings of the country.  The Renovation division established in the Construction Management department of the Group offered general contracting services for the renovation of multiple dwellings.

“We anticipate the renovation boom in the domain of outdated Lithuanian multiple dwelling houses that should be determined by growing prices for gas and thermal energy.  For residents and house maintenance companies we are ready to offer the complex renovation services of multiple dwellings”, Remigijus Baltrušaitis, the General Manager of „Axis Industries“, said.

„Axis Industries“ performs all renovation operations of multiple dwellings for which the state support is granted.  The Renovation division of Construction Management department of the Group currently employs about 50 specialists, and offers the services of roofing and wall thermal insulation, balcony glazing, replacement of windows, piping and heating units.

“We offer a material little used in Lithuania up to this day – clinker tiles – for the finish of multiple dwelling walls.  Due to its practical characteristics and durability, this coating is widely used in the construction of multiple dwellings in Germany”, R. Baltrušaitis said.

Plastered house facades so common in Lithuania are easily damaged, whereas the clinker coating is simple to repair, and to clean from graffiti “art”.  „Axis Industries“ will primarily offer this material for multiple dwellings in Klaipėda where due to the prevailing sea coast climate, the rate of plaster deterioration is high – walls already need repair merely in a year after construction.

There are over 38 thousand of multiple dwellings in Lithuania, accommodating nearly two-thirds of its population.  The majority of these houses were built before 1993, and the increasingly expensive thermal energy in these houses is used inefficiently.
