„Axis Industries“ targeting the Russian market.

From the middle of 2009 „Axis Industries“ will offer a new product to the Russian market – ultrasonic heat meters for apartments. In October of this year meters currently produced by „Axis Industries“ were certified; in the beginning of 2009 certification of new products will begin, and in 2010–2011 „Axis Industries“ expects to achieve the volume of sales of 10 thousand units of meters in Russia.

“Having certificates for our products from Russian agencies of certification, we gain access to a large and prosperous market. We hope that with the growth of heat energy prices, our new products will be in demand in Russia”, Remigijus Baltrušaitis, the General director of „Axis Industries“, said.

The companies group sells its products in various regions of Russia - from Kaliningrad to the remote Vladivostok. „We are most interested in the Russian Metropolitan markets – Moscow, St. Petersburg, but we have partners also in Ural region, Siberian cities",
R. Baltrušaitis said.

According to him, certification of this new type of heat metering device in Russia is long and complicated process. Previously, Russian agencies used to recognize a high number of tests carried out in Lithuania – they did not require repeating them in Russia. The situation changed after Lithuania became a member of the EU. With Lithuania's legal and normative base being increasingly harmonised with the EU requirements; there are more differences between the Russian normative regulatory requirements.

Until now, „Axis Industries“ traded terminal heat meters in Russia for installation in terminals of multiple dwelling houses, and their components. Automatic district heating substation module made in „Axis Industries“ is also proposed to the Russian market. Universal controller „Rubisafe III“ of these modules is certified in Russia.

The first heat meters intended for this market were designed and manufactured 15 years ago. During this period „Axis Industries“ exported to Russia about 30 thousand of ultrasonic and electromagnetic heat meters and their components, with a total value of 30 million litas.

„Axis Industries“ sells heat metering devices also in other CIS countries – Ukraine, Belarus. „Axis Industries“ offers devices tested in Russia for the markets of the new EU countries – Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia.
