„Axis Industries“ has completed works at Kaišiadorys and Kretinga boiler stations. In Kaišiadorys the company has installed 5 MW capacity biofuel boilers, and in Kretinga – 4 MW capacity boilers.
"Due to the increasing price of natural gas, Lithuania is facing the most expensive heating season; therefore heating suppliers are rushing to start using local renewable energy sources. Being general contractors, we also faced certain tasks, which we accomplished successfully – some of the works were performed during a record short periods," – said Remigijus Baltrušaitis, a general director of „Axis Industries“.
In February „Axis Industries“ won the tender, announced by „Kretingos šilumos tinklai“ ("Kretinga thermal networks"), and in April (after a few months of engineering works) the company started installation of biofuel boiler with a furnace, produced by the company, and warehouse reconstruction. Within 4 months period the company's specialists completed this project, valued 4 million Lt.
„Axis Industries“ has already installed the third biofuel boiler in Kretinga. Two boilers (5 MW capacity each) installed by the company, have been operating here since 2001. The managers of „Kretingos šilumos tinklai“ are planning to burn local biofuel for production of 98 % of heating for the city and imported gas would remain as a reserved fuel.
„Kaišiadorių šiluma“ also plans to become the cheapest heating provider in the region. Kaišiadorys boiler station, which is owned by this company, was opened last week after renovation and adjustment for usage of biofuel. Biofuel warehouse, fuel supply system, new chimney and biofuel boiler have been installed in this boiler station. This biofuel boiler will be used during all the year.
Now is a favorable time for the producers of heat to change the type of their used fuel - constructions of eco-friendly biofuel boiler stations are supported by EU structural funds. „Kretingos šilumos tinklai“ and „Kaišiadorių šiluma“ have also benefited from the EU funds – they used 2,2 million and 2 million Lt respectively.
This year „Axis Industries“ has completed a few more biofuel boilers’ installation projects. The company has installed automated boiler station burning straws at Akademija town, Kėdainiai region, and has built a biofuel boiler at „Matuizų plytinė“, which produces silicate bricks and blocks.
